New OSHA Mandate for Workplace Injuries & Illnesses

The clock is ticking toward March 2, 2019.  That’s when certain businesses are required to report workplace injuries & illnesses electronically.  Whether your company is included in this new mandate depends on a few things like the number of employees you have and your industry type.

Companies with 20+ employees may be subject to Form 300A electronic reporting.  It depends on your industry and its general history of workplace incidents.

The U.S. Department of Labor has a couple of lists to help you get started.

It’s also recommended, if you are subject to the mandate, that you use online forms to share your data.

“Our payroll & workers’ compensation clients don’t have to worry about navigating the somewhat complicated world of OSHA’s electronic reporting rule” said Brian Canady, Operations manager at Focus HR, Inc.  “We do the navigating for them.”
